Pioneer E-Waste Collection

Come out and volunteer for the Pioneer E-Waste Event. Help us collect monitors, computers, televisions, cell phones, and much, much more. We will be meeting at Pioneer High School in the back parking lot. If you would like to volunteer, just show up at the beginning of the shift. 
Dates: Oct 3 (Saturday) & Oct 4 (Sunday)
Times: AM Shift 9:00-12:00 PM / PM Shift 1:00-4:00PM

Community Pregnancy Center Focus Group

We need high students for a question  and answer focus group. Come out and earn two hours of service. We will also be providing free soda and pizza.

Pioneer Recycling

Looking for some hours or just want to help the environment Starting next Monday, we will be meeting in Ms. O'Hara's room 300 during S-period The Goal is to help with the paper recycling bins on campus (collect and empty bins) See Mary Lin or Shannon Lequang for more details or show up on Monday

Needs help for annual Walk a Thon on Saturday, October 17, 2009
Duties would include: set up for event, assist with registration, hand out water bottles, mark lap cards. etc. 
Shifts would be two hours or more (preferred)
set up begins at 7:00 a.m.
event from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
clean up from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Reach Out to the Community!

As you may or may not know, Service Learning Leadership is hosting its annual Community Outreach Fair. What is this fair you might ask? Well this event gives you an opportunity to sign up to volunteer for various non-profit agencies, clubs and on campus groups looking for help. With over 30 agencies this year, you can find service opportunities ranging from combating poverty to reducing global warming to encouraging a healthy living and more! If you are a sophomore, please take advantage of this time and sign up for your service here!

Where? Pioneer High School in the Quad
What to Bring? Love of Service!

Who to Expect? Camp Campbell, Our City Forests, Second Harvest Food Bank, Birthright San Jose, Loaves and Fishes, Vineland Library, Breathe California, Best Buddies, Key Club, Interact, Pink Club, Clean Streams Clean Bay and more!
