Day of Service

This Monday will be the Day of Service to remember Martin Luther King Jr.'s accomplishments. Service events will be available for all those who want to volunteer. If you would like to find a service opportunity for this weekend, please check out

Jefferson Service Award WInner - December

Congratulations to Jefferson Service Award winner for the month of December, Adam Donald. Adam is a junior at Pioneer High School, volunteered to do community service with the Humane Society Silicon Valley. He started out working in a program called Compassion In Action. Through this he helped train dogs at the shelter. Then, he volunteered at the HSSV annual summer camp. He was a camp counselor for two weeks. During the camp he taught the kids about different types of animals and how to properly treat them. He also led fun animal related activities for the kids to participate in. He feels that through service he was able to be a role model to kids and teach them not only about caring for animals but also how to develop leadership skills.
